Women in AI Ethics, a project of Social Good Fund, aims to “increase recognition, representation, and empowerment of brilliant women in this space who are working hard to save humanity from the dark side of AI.”
In this talk, Mary L. Gray provides an overview of her coauthored book Ghost Work: How to Stop Silicon Valley from Building a New Global Underclass, describing the invisible workforce powering the AI platforms of companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Uber and the ethical implications underpinning this form of labor.
Mary was also listed as one of Women in AI Ethics’ 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics in 2020.
